"Welcome Home" was filmed back in 2014, it was Taylor Martin's first story (based on a true events that happened in her personal life), is on it's way to it's 3rd screening, this time from an online film festival from Rome, Italy "Aphelion Film Festival".

"Welcome Home" - A short story about a woman who has enough of her brother's self-destructive battle. Taylor still looks at this production as "beginner's luck" from it's multiple screenings compared to her other productions, and winning an aware of "Merit" from Best Shorts Competitions.

Here's how Martin House Production’s coaching business will operate:

  1. In the “Our Services” section of the site you will fill out a form for a free consultation with the founder of the company, Taylor Martin. In that form you will see a drop down menu for the available departments and positions. You will choose your department of interest, and if you’d like, share some information about yourself before you hit that “submit” button.

  2. During our consultation (up to 3hrs) I will get to know you while determining if that department is really the right fit for you.

  3. Once determining the right department, I send you a package with the list of job responsibilities crafted by the coach. You will go through that list and select the responsibilities you want to learn more about.

  4. I will send that list to the coach so they know what to prepare on their end while determining a time and date that works best.

  5. Once I book and confirm details with the coaches I will send the applicant and coach a zoom link with a payment link.

Currently, the coaching sessions will be for 1hr. I’m waiting to hear results from a funding platform that will determine if my sessions can last up to two hours instead of one.

I will be part of every chat, but not an active participant unless I’m asked to join and share my input. I ask each applicant to use this as an opportunity to build a network connection with the coaches. These coaches are here to help and inspire the next generation of filmmakers, they’ve done the same for me.

I’m currently in the midst of applying for grants, setting aside some of my own money, and setting up a donation site where all funds will go towards my production company for the productions I’m developing.

I’ve written a short film called “CANE”, and am in the process of getting developed. I’m in the midst of finishing up a grant application through Canada Council of the Arts “Research & Creation” and “Concept to Realization”. I am slowly working my way through answering the questions from the Canada Council of the Arts grants to make sure I’m understanding what’s being asked.

I have already secured a Director, and DOP for "CANE" (with whom I have worked with on a show called “Pink Is In”) - he loves working with new people - and a Producer who has their CMPA membership who will be mentoring me as I continue to take my filmmaking experience to the next level myself.
